Individual supervision aims to support new clinicians on their journey to identify the type of therapist they wish to be. Common topics in a supervision session may include clinical intervention, case discussion, ethics, documentation best practices, treatment planning, boundary setting, and self care.

Jackie has worked in the community with medicaid, in an office with private pay, and telehealth with both. She is a trauma focused therapist, and practices through that lens, both with clients and supervisees. Her approach is focused on the development of a strong and trusting relationship. Often described as calm but direct, her style is meant to encourage confidence and accountability.

A group environment can foster a larger understanding of diverse ideas and allow for a more enriching experience in addressing common topics for clinicians. Each group will be a maximum of six members to ensure appropriate time and attention to meet the needs of every individual.

Maryland guidelines permit up to 50 hours of group supervision in meeting the requirements for advanced licensing. This is often a more cost effective way to meet your goals.

Though fully licensed clinicians are no longer required to pursue continued consultation, it is our responsibility to continue to seek perspectives beyond our own. This group aims to provide a low demand space to gain support from others in the field while allowing opportunity to discuss any topics connected to social work and the therapy profession as a whole.

All licensing levels are welcome, but this will not contribute to the hours of supervision required for a clinical license. This also provides an opportunity to network and come into contact with therapists from a variety of backgrounds and expertise.
